Prince Andrew Stripped of Titles, Ordered to Leave Royal Lodge

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles has formally removed all royal titles and honours from his younger brother, Prince Andrew, amid renewed scrutiny over his ties to late s£x offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew, who will now be known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has also been ordered to vacate his residence at Royal Lodge, Windsor — a 30-room mansion he reportedly rented for “one peppercorn per year.”

The Palace said the move was part of a “formal process” initiated by the King and emphasized that their sympathies remain “with the victims and survivors of all forms of abuse.”

Andrew will relocate to a smaller property on the Sandringham Estate, while his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will retain their royal titles.

The decision follows the release of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, which reignited public outrage by detailing her alleged encounters with Andrew. Despite a 2022 settlement with Giuffre, the Duke — now Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor — continues to deny all allegations.
