In a recent episode of Madam Joyce’s podcast, Shank, known for his humorous skits and social commentary, said, “If you are in the UK, you have to work,you don’t have a choice. In the UK, people do like 7 jobs at the same time.”
He explained that it’s common to see one person juggling “tech, care job, working at McDonald’s” just to make ends meet.
The comedian went on to talk about the exhausting work culture, saying, “I had someone who told me I have to work 70 hours in a week,how many hours is in a week?” he joked.
Questioning the social life of many Nigerians abroad, Shank said, “You will see them during winter in coat snapping and posing in family groups ‘I’m in the UK’ — they are suffering.” He humorously advised such people to “better come back to Ajah or Oshogbo.”
