Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly pushing for his Nigeria teammate Ademola Lookman to join him at the Turkish giants, according to reports from the Italian press.
The Super Eagles forward is said to be playing a key role behind the scenes, with Foot Africa claiming Osimhen personally reached out to Lookman, urging him:
“Come to Galatasaray and be happy here!”
Galatasaray are reportedly keen to strengthen their attack ahead of the January transfer window, especially with Barış Alper Yılmaz potentially on his way out.
Lookman, 28, has endured a difficult season at Atalanta, following a reported fallout with the club’s hierarchy after a failed move to Inter Milan. His protest led to him being sidelined and later reintegrated, featuring briefly in Atalanta’s 3-0 win over Torino before earning a Champions League start against Club Brugge.
He finally broke his goal drought for the 2025/26 season on Tuesday night, scoring in Atalanta’s Serie A clash against AC Milan.
