Finance Minister Wale Edun was reportedly taken to London for medical treatment after allegedly collapsing upon seeing a “k+ll list” connected to a suspected coup plot aimed at overthrowing President Bola Tinubu.
A senior government insider claimed, “Edun collapsed upon being shown a k+ll list purportedly prepared by a group of military officers who reportedly were planning to overthrow President Tinubu’s regime in a v+olent manner.
After initially denying that he was flown to London, Edun was sighted in London where he was walking wobbly to an Art Show as a proof of life.”
Two weeks ago, Edun confirmed he had travelled to the UK for medical care, after earlier government denials. His health condition was described by a source as “very serious.”
Meanwhile, SaharaReporters recently reported that military intelligence detained several officers over an alleged coup plot said to have been planned around the October 1 Independence Day period. Although the military claimed the arrests were due to “repeated failure in promotion examinations and perceived career stagnation,” security insiders insisted the detentions were tied directly to a planned overthrow attempt.
Sources said the officers were picked up in coordinated operations after weeks of surveillance, involving personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
