Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has opened up about his unconventional views on marriage and fidelity.
Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, the Chocolate City artiste said he would be comfortable with an open marriage, arguing that s+xual passion in relationships tends to decline with time.
“I don’t mind having an open marriage,” he said. “Most married couples don’t keep having the same amount of s+x they had at the beginning it naturally reduces. So, if someone else is satisfying her s+xually while I’m out hustling or touring, that’s fine. There’s more to marriage than s+x.”
Blaqbonez explained that he values emotional connection and loyalty above physical exclusivity. According to him, no random person could easily replicate the emotional bond he would have with his wife.
“I don’t mind her sleeping with someone else as long as she remains dedicated to me,” he added. “It would be hard for another man to match the emotional connection I’ve built. They might not even make her laugh like I do. In fact, if I ever get married, I’d prefer we have two separate rooms and only meet when we want intimacy.”
The rapper’s comments have since stirred reactions online, with many fans debating his stance on open relationships and modern marriage dynamics.
