A concerned resident of Ekiti State has expressed dissatisfaction with the inadequate attention provided to patients by healthcare workers at the Ekiti State Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti.
The individual raised concerns about the unjust and unacceptable manner in which patients are being treated at the facility.
According to the resident, patients are often left without care while medical personnel engage in discussions, even in situations requiring urgent action.
He further expressed dismay over the death of a patient who was brought to the hospital on Saturday evening, attributing the fatality to delays caused by inattentive doctors and nurses.
This incident follows recent reports of alleged assaults on hospital staff by members of the public over similar grievances.
The resident has appealed to the State Commissioner for Health and other relevant health authorities to address these recurring issues, which are reportedly becoming more frequent and severe.
