Barcelona Eye Victor Osimhen as Long-Term Replacement for Lewandowski

Barcelona have reportedly identified Victor Osimhen as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski, who is expected to leave the Catalan giants at the end of the season.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are planning ahead for the 2026/27 season, with Osimhen emerging as one of their key targets. The Nigerian striker, now at Galatasaray, has been in sensational form — scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances during his loan spell before completing a €75m permanent move this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Barcelona are “studying the market for future strikers,” though there are no active negotiations at the moment.

“It’s true that Barcelona are monitoring Osimhen among other players, but nothing is happening right now. They’re simply gathering information and planning for the post-Lewandowski era,” Romano clarified.

With Lewandowski now 37 years old and struggling with injuries, Barca are preparing to rebuild their attack — but any move for Osimhen would seriously test their financial limits, given his €15m annual salary and lucrative bonus structure.
