Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Nigerian senate, has called on Eyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, a Nigerian lawmaker representing the Abia South senatorial district, to join the All Progressive Congress (APC).
In recent times, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) have suffered massive defections as numerous political leaders decamp to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
However, in the video, the senate president, Godswill Akpabio, took a playful swipe at the Abia lawmaker, Eyinnaya Abaribe, wooing him to join the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Akpabio vowed to continue pleading with Senator Abaribe to defect to the APC despite the fact that he tightened his face upon hearing the word defection.
According to the video, “As soon as I mentioned the word ‘defection,’ his face got tight. I will keep mentioning it.”
