The pioneer Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mrs. Grace Adayilo, has died.
Adayilo reportedly passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 1, 2025.
Her death was confirmed by the Special Assistant on Media to the HoS, Anthony Odey, in a brief text message to our correspondent.
“Yes, please,” the message simply read.
President Bola Tinubu had approved Adayilo’s appointment as the first Head of the Civil Service of the FCT on October 6, 2024, with immediate effect.
She made history as both the pioneer HoS and the first female to hold the position in the territory.
