Senate Urges Nigerians to Return to Farming to Curb Hunger

Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, has called on Nigerians to embrace farming as a lasting solution to the growing hunger crisis across the nation.

Speaking in Osun State, the Osun East lawmaker stressed that large-scale food production would ease hardship and restore hope to families.

💬 “I am farming. Everybody should farm. If there is no hunger, automatically, we will be thinking right. Development is coming… Before the end of this year, things will go down,” he assured.

He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for adopting key poverty-reduction strategies, while urging state governors to invest in rural agriculture as directed at the recent NEC meeting.

Beyond food security, Senator Fadahunsi emphasized the importance of active civic participation, calling on Nigerians—youths, settlers, farmers, herders, and community members alike—to take part in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise and obtain their PVCs.
