Tears As Police Arrest LASU Student Who Exposed Landlord's Alleged Sexual Harassment and Threats

A female LASU student has been arrested by armed police after accusing her landlord of sexual harassment and death threats, sparking outrage online.

There was tension and outrage on social media on Thursday after a female student of Lagos State University (LASU) was reportedly arrested by armed police officers for calling out her landlord over sexual harassment and death threats.

The student, whose identity is yet to be disclosed for safety reasons, had earlier posted a video online detailing the abuse she allegedly faced from her landlord. According to the video, she claimed he persistently made sexual advances towards her and threatened her life when she refused him.

However, shortly after the video went viral, police officers in plain clothes stormed her residence and arrested her without a warrant, sparking fears for her safety and wellbeing.

Eyewitnesses said the arrest seemed like an attempt to silence her voice, while activists and students are now demanding her immediate release and protection.

As of now, LASU authorities have yet to issue an official statement. Human rights groups are calling for a thorough investigation and justice for the student, while also condemning any form of intimidation against whistleblowers.
