The election, which was held on July 19, 2025, at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), brought together student leaders across various tertiary institutions in Ondo State and was widely commended for its peaceful conduct and democratic process. According to the SSA, the successful convention is a reflection of the political maturity and progressive mindset of the student community in the Sunshine State.
In his congratulatory message, the SSA commended the newly elected executives for stepping up to serve and charged them to see their emergence as a call to impactful leadership, not privilege. He emphasized the importance of unity, responsibility, and service, urging the new officers to uphold the values of transparency, inclusiveness, and innovation in discharging their duties.
_"Leadership is not a title, it is service. I encourage you to work as a team, build bridges across campuses, and engage stakeholders constructively. Let your tenure be defined by progress, accountability, and genuine concern for the welfare of students," the SSA stated._
He also applauded the commitment of the outgoing leadership and the NANS structures in ensuring a smooth transition, describing it as a testament to the strength and resilience of the student movement in Ondo State.
The SSA further reiterated the unwavering commitment of the Ondo State Government under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to continue supporting student-centered initiatives, youth empowerment, and academic development across the state. He affirmed the readiness of his office to work closely with the new JCC leadership to amplify the voices and welfare of Nigerian students in the state.
As the new administration takes over the affairs of the JCC, the SSA wished them a successful tenure filled with unity, progress, and student-centered achievements.
