The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested Adamu Abdullahi, a 25-year-old man, for allegedly killing his biological father, Abdullahi Musa, during a violent domestic altercation in Rumbuna village, Giade Local Government Area.
The tragic incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025. According to police sources, the suspect struck his 60-year-old father on the head with a hoe during a heated argument.
“Adamu Abdullahi used force against his father and struck him on the head with a hoe during a domestic dispute,” a source revealed.
The victim collapsed instantly, suffering severe head trauma.
Victim Confirmed Dead at Hospital
Police operatives arrived promptly at the scene and evacuated the victim to the General Hospital in Giade, where he was confirmed dead while receiving treatment.
The suspect was immediately arrested, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a full-scale investigation.

Authorities say further inquiries are underway to uncover the motive behind the attack, and whether the suspect acted alone or under any external influence.
