Engr. Ibukun-Oluwa James Akeju is a committed Christian and a passionate advocate for human rights, known for his impactful leadership and innovative contributions across various sectors. With a solid foundation in Civil Engineering, Engr. Akeju has garnered a wealth of experience as a Site Engineer and Project Manager, managing large-scale projects with precision and dedication. His technical expertise is further reflected in his numerous leadership roles, where he has demonstrated outstanding vision and execution.
A former Financial Secretary and General Secretary of the National Congress of Akoko Students, Engr. Akeju has consistently shown a deep commitment to student leadership. His tenure as the Students’ Union President of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo (2017/2018) solidified his position as a powerful voice for students and young people across Nigeria. He now serves as the National Youth President of Akoko, overseeing youth affairs across four local government areas in Akoko, Ondo State.
Currently, Engr. Akeju serves as the Chief Press Secretary to Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero, the Member representing Akoko North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. His dynamic leadership has driven strategic initiatives that have improved youth participation in governance and policy-making, elevating the voices of Akoko’s youth both at home and abroad.
