Florida “Predator” Who Pepper-Sprayed Rich Men and Stole Luxury Watches Gets Probation

A 20-year-old Florida woman, Esther Torres, has sparked outrage after avoiding jail time despite pleading guilty to robbing wealthy men by pepper-spraying them and snatching their luxury watches.

Torres was sentenced to five years’ probation on Wednesday, July 16, following two brazen incidents in late March. She reportedly lured men to upscale Miami Beach hotels, attacked them with pepper spray, and stole high-value items — including a $22,000 Rolex Submariner and a Hugo Boss watch, along with cash, Euros, and credit cards.

One victim told police that the mace attack left him temporarily blind, while surveillance footage captured Torres fleeing both crime scenes.

Hotel owner Mitch Novick, who provided crucial surveillance footage, called her “a predator preying on male victims.”

Police caught up with Torres in April after she appeared at a traffic stop, leading to her arrest in May. Despite facing two counts of first-degree robbery, she was released on a recognizance bond in June and is now free under probation.

Should someone who carried out violent robberies get off with just probation? 🤔
