Barcelona have turned their attention to Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman after failing to land Spanish winger Nico Williams. The Catalan giants, under new manager Hansi Flick, are reportedly keen on reinforcing their attack, and Lookman has emerged as a top option.
The 26-year-old impressed last season with Atalanta, notably scoring a hat-trick in the Europa League final. His versatility and direct style have made him a favorite of Flick, who believes he could slot seamlessly into Barça’s tactical system.
Atalanta are open to selling the Super Eagles star, but only if their €50 million valuation is met. Club sporting director Deco is expected to initiate talks soon, as Barcelona continue their post-Xavi rebuild.
Lookman, who previously played in England and Germany, has revived his career in Italy and is said to be open to a move to Spain’s top flight.
